About Fechheimer Brothers

Fechheimer Brothers is a Berkshire Hathaway company that began manufacturing uniforms for public safety in 1842. During the Civil War, Fechheimer secured the United States government contract to supply uniforms for soldiers. Today, the company operates multiple brands including Flying Cross, Vertx, Budgetoutfitter, Berkshirewear, and Fechheimer, serving military, law enforcement, and commercial markets.

Five brands, two sales models, and one financial system to connect them

Fechheimer needed to transform every part of their operations, from financial management and supply chain to customer-facing eCommerce across all their brands.

D365 ERP implementation

The Dynamics 365 ERP implementation included installation and setup, out-of-the-box features, and customizations across Financial Management (budgeting, multi-dimension accounting, cash flow, financial reporting, dashboards), Supply Chain Management (procure-to-pay, RFQ, vendor onboarding, inventory, shipping, PDT device integration, reordering, reporting), and Product Information Management (apparel and textile layer for textile manufacturing). Add-ons included RF Connect, SO99 for production planning, and Precision Forms for reporting.

eCommerce development

We built responsive multi-stores for different B2C and B2B business entities (Flying Cross, Vertx, Budgetoutfitter, Berkshirewear, and Fechheimer) on AWS Cloud infrastructure with managed clustered servers, Redis cache, and Fastly CDN. Features included CMS integration, sales quotes, requisition, organization accounts, product matrix, bulk order functionality, Elasticsearch, visual merchandiser, and payment gateway integration.

eCommerce and ERP integration

B2B customer, credit limit and terms sync enabling dealer self-service. Product sync for consistent information across channels. Inventory sync across eCommerce, physical stores, and warehouses. Orders, pricing, shipping, payments, bill pay, and tax integration for faster fulfillment, improved compliance, and account reconciliation.

Dealers self-serve, orders move faster, and five brands share one catalog

Fechheimer's transformation brought together ERP, multi-brand commerce, and operational systems into one connected system. Dealers gained self-service access to credit limits, order history, and product information. Internal teams saw streamlined order fulfillment, inventory management, and accounting. The platform supports ongoing growth across all five brands.
