FAQ
Frequently asked questions
What does Aedista Advisory do?
We foresee the strategy and build the system. Aedista Advisory is a strategy and consulting firm that takes enterprise technology from architecture through to production (custom software, ERP, data platforms, and agentic AI) with one team accountable for the outcome. We are an i95Dev company, with 25+ years and 3,000+ delivered projects behind us.
How is Aedista different from a strategy consultancy or a development shop?
Most firms do one or the other, and value leaks in the handoff between them. Strategy houses advise and leave; engineering shops build what they are handed. We do both, so decisions get made with the build in mind and trade-offs surface early, while they are still cheap to change. Every engagement includes US-based, TOGAF-certified architects from discovery through deployment, supported by a 300+ person engineering center.
Which industries do you work in?
Seven: manufacturing, wholesale and distribution, legal and litigation, private equity and investment, service-based businesses, SaaS and technology, and medical education and healthcare. We go deep rather than broad: each practice has its own delivery patterns, compliance requirements, and reference clients.
What engagement models do you offer?
Three. Fixed cost for well-defined projects such as an MVP. Time and materials for products with evolving scope. Dedicated team for ongoing product development. Many clients start with a fixed-cost MVP and move to a dedicated team as the product gains traction.
What does an engagement cost?
It depends on scope, and we give you a detailed estimate after a discovery phase. A focused tool (a client intake portal, a procedure-logging module) may start in the tens of thousands. A comprehensive, AI-enabled enterprise platform is a materially larger investment. The initial consultation is free, and pricing is agreed upfront.
How long does a typical project take?
Between three and fourteen months, depending on scope. A focused module such as clinical evaluation or a SaaS MVP typically takes 3 to 5 months. A Dynamics 365 Business Central implementation runs 4 to 8 months. Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations for a larger multi-site enterprise runs 8 to 14 months. We deliver core functionality first, in phases, so operations are never paused.
How do you handle security and compliance?
Security is built in from the architecture phase, not bolted on. That means AES-256 encryption at rest, TLS 1.3 in transit, role-based access control with multi-factor authentication, comprehensive audit logging, and SOC 2-aligned practices. We have delivered HIPAA-compliant platforms, ACGME-compliant systems, ITAR-compliant manufacturing environments, and FERPA controls. We hold ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 certification.
Can you work with our existing systems, or do you only build new ones?
Both, and most of our work is the former. We integrate with the systems you already run, and we modernize aging platforms without a big-bang rewrite, rebuilding piece by piece, running new alongside old, migrating one workflow at a time. We have migrated clients from Dynamics GP, Dynamics NAV, SAP, and custom-built systems to modern cloud platforms, including 25-year-old mission-critical systems, without disrupting a single program.
